The Canadian Wellness Practitioners Council (CWPC) establishes Standards of Practice to promote safe, ethical, and professional wellness services. These standards provide guidance for practitioners in delivering quality care and maintaining public confidence.
Professional Practice Standards

Client-Centred Care
Practitioners shall place the interests, needs, and well-being of clients at the center of professional practice.

Professional Competence
Practitioners shall maintain the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to provide competent services and engage in ongoing professional development.

Informed Consent
Practitioners shall obtain informed consent and ensure clients understand the nature, benefits, and limitations of services provided.

Practitioners shall communicate respectfully and maintain appropriate professional relationships at all times.

Practitioners shall maintain accurate records and safeguard personal and confidential information.

Practitioners shall provide services in a safe manner and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and CWPC policies.
