Governance
Transparent, accountable, and ethical leadership for the wellness profession.
The Canadian Wellness Practitioners Council (CWPC) is committed to transparent, accountable, and ethical governance. Our governance framework supports the Council’s mission to advance professional standards, promote public confidence, and support the development of wellness practitioners across Canada.
Board Oversight
CWPC is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight. The Board establishes organizational policies, supports professional standards, and ensures that the Council operates in accordance with its mission and values.
Governance Principles
Our governance practices are guided by the following principles:
• Accountability
• Transparency
• Professional Integrity
• Fairness and Consistency
• Public Interest
• Continuous Improvement

Committees and Advisory Support
The Board may establish committees and advisory groups to support membership services, professional standards, education, certification, ethics, and special projects. These groups provide expertise and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
Conflict of Interest
CWPC requires directors, committee members, and representatives to disclose and appropriately manage any actual or potential conflicts of interest. This helps ensure impartial decision-making and maintains public trust.
Our Commitment
Through responsible governance and ethical leadership, CWPC strives to support excellence, professionalism, and public confidence in wellness professions throughout Canada.
